I do believe that this is the best record of all time. Maybe I can’t say that because I haven’t listened to every record ever, fine. But it’s certainly the best record I’ve ever listened to. This was the first album I ever listened to front to back. I was 13, it was 195 days after my best friends at the time introduced me to MCR, and I realised I’d never listened to any of their albums. I chose The Black Parade because it was the album I knew the most songs off of already. I decided to shut myself into my closet I could barely fit myself into, close my eyes even though it was completely dark, and listen to the album totally uninterrupted.
And it was amazing. I repeated the experience twice more before I stopped sleeping in that room and so could no longer shove myself into that too-small closet. In the nearly 5 years since then, I’ve
